George Bernard Strasbaugh, Sr., of Baldwin, called home by the Lord after a long illness. Son of Bernard J. and Giovanna A. (Condoleo). Beloved husband of 60 years to Joan Teresa (Wivell), devoted father to George B., Jr. (Gina), Thomas R. (Betsy), and Daniel J. (Sandy). Loving grandfather of George III (Casey), Ann (Zachary) Sisko, John, Elizabeth (Daniel) Kihn, Thomas, Michael, Jessica, and Keith. Adoring great-grandfather to Alexandra, Kiersten, Maxwell, and Eleanor.
George was a graduate of Perry High School, Robert Morris College and LaSalle University. He went on to obtain his certified public accountant licensure and worked as Director of Contracts for the Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory with the Department of Energy for 31 years. George loved his Italian heritage and was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan. Most of all, he loved his family. He will be sorely missed.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, 15236. A Blessing Service to follow at 7 p.m. in the funeral home's chapel. Condolences may be left at www.jeffersonmemorial.biz.
