Gary Stephen Yelenchic's Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gary Stephen Yelenchic at his home on Friday, December 16, 2022. He was 74 years old.
Gary was born in Pittsburgh, PA to Dorothy Mary (Zabkar) Yelenchic and the late Stephen Michael Yelenchic. Gary is survived by his mother Dorothy, brother David, sister Carole and brother-in-law Barry Klingerman, and niece Candice and her husband Steven Kress. He is also survived by two grandnieces and one grandnephew. Gary has been a longtime resident of Lower Bucks County.
Gary was active in sports throughout his youth, especially basketball and baseball, and was the first-string pitcher on his varsity baseball team. He remained enthusiastic about sports throughout his adult life. Gary also loved classic films, especially tales of the Wild West, as well as many old-time TV comedies. Soon after high school, he served proudly in the US Army for two years. He worked for many years at the Bucks County Courier Times as a journeyman printer. Gary's kindness and caring nature were much appreciated by all who knew and loved him, and he will be sadly missed.
Family and friends are invited to his funeral service which will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Jefferson Memorial Park (Office Chapel), 401 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA. Visitation is at 1 pm, followed by the funeral service at 2 pm.
