Gary Clifford Fluman, Sr.'s Obituary
Navy Veteran, Gary Clifford Fluman Sr., age 79, of Pittsburgh, PA, formerly of Ridgway, PA, passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2020.
Gary is survived by his wife, Nita Fluman; sister-in-law Carla (Tom) Phillips; and brother Kent (Betsy) Fluman. He was the loving father of Cathy (Dave) O'Toole, Gary (Sherri) Fluman Jr., and Terri Fluman; adored grandfather to Erin, Stephanie (Sam), Christopher, Melissa, Kellie, Caitlin, and Jesse; step-daughter, DeeAnn Greene. Gary is also survived by his best friend Bentley.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lean and Dorothy (Huggler) Fluman; wives, Theresa (Tongel) Fluman and Linda (Simon) Fluman.
Gary served in the U.S. Navy for 20 years achieving the Gold Chief Petty Officer, as well as 10 years in the Navy Reserve. He was also proudly employed for 20 years as a correction officer at the Allegheny County jail. He was also a longtime member of Masonic Lodge #509 in Pleasant Hills. Throughout his life, he enjoyed his camp, going hunting and of course his Pittsburgh Steeler's.
Friends will be received on Thursday, September 17th from 4-8PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236. A funeral service will be held the following morning at 11AM at the funeral home.
Military honors will follow at a graveside service where Gary will be laid to rest in Jefferson Memorial Cemetery.
