Gail M. Beitle's Obituary
Gail M. Beitle (Shields) passed away suddenly on December 6, 2022 and is now at peace with her Lord and Savior.
She is survived by her loving husband Roy of 67 years , 2 daughters, Debra Graham (John), Lisa Bushmire (Jeff) and 2 sons, Ronald Beitle(Susan) and Richard Beitle (deceased ) (Marcy), 7 grandchildren: Lily and Lucy Beitle, Kasey and Jacob Bushmire, Derek, Nicole and Vanessa Beitle and 2 great grandchildren, Kendall and Cameron Allmond. She was preceded in death by her 5 cherished brothers and 3 sisters, in addition to her son Richard Beitle.
Gail graduated from Mt. Lebanon High School in 1957. She was the first female drummer in the marching band, and marched and played in the 1957 Rose Bowl Parade in Pasadena, CA. She loved the outdoors, flowers, birds, butterflies, trees, horses and dogs (not snakes!). She was full of love, life, laughter and mischief. She was an avid reader of history and nonfiction, loved musicals, eating out, ice cream and ice coffee. In the day, Gail was a member of the Golf Bags at Lindenwood G.C., the "Hotwires" electricians wives, and a longtime member of the Washington Hospital Women's Auxiliary. Gail was a member of the Arbor Day Foundation since 2009, and also a big advocate for rescue dogs and the Washington Area Humane Society. She along with Roy are members of the Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Scenery Hill, PA.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022 from 10-12 pm at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, 15236. A service will follow visitation at 12 pm.
