Frederick G.
Frederick G. Schaner, age 84, of Pittsburgh, formerly of Glassport, went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 22, 2019.
Fred is survived by his beloved Son, Fred (Kayce Driscoll) Schaner; Daughter, Connie Dolanch, Sister, Mary Helen (Barry) Carr; Brother, Dr. Paul (Mary Kay) Schaner; as well as many grandchildren nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Arnold E. Schaner, and Mother, Helen (McElravey) Schaner.
Fred served his country honorably with the US Army. He also served as a Pennsylvania State Corrections Officer transporting inmates to various hospital facilities. Frederick was an avid Steelers and Pirate sports fan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, October 30th 2019 at 10am, located at St. Benedict the Abbot Church, 120 Abington Dr, McMurray, PA 15317.
Attendees may meet with family at St. Benedicts from 9:00am until 10:00am prior to service.
