Fred T. Pearson's Obituary
In Loving Memory of Fred Pearson Sr.
With heavy hearts, we bid farewell to a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Fred Pearson Sr., who passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 24, 2024. Fred's journey began in Clairton, PA, where he was raised, graduating from Clairton High School in 1964. His life was a testament to love, service, and unwavering dedication to his family.
During the tumultuous years of the Vietnam War, Fred served his country with honor as an airplane\helicopter mechanic in the United States Navy. His bravery and commitment to duty were emblematic of his character, earning him respect and admiration from all who knew him.
Fred was preceded in death by his loving parents, Fred (Fritz) and Margaret Pearson, his father and mother-in-law Cosmo and Mary Yocco, and his brother-in-law, Rick Yocco. However, his legacy of love and kindness lives on through those who were fortunate enough to know him.
Central to Fred's life was his cherished high school sweetheart and best friend, Annette, with whom he shared 57 years of profound love and companionship. Together, they built a beautiful family filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. Fred was a devoted father to his three children, Fred (Adriana) Pearson, Scott (Amber) Pearson, and Lori (Scott) Lawry, who were the pride and joy of his life.
As Pap to six adoring grandchildren - Nathan, Domenic, Ryan, Reese, Colin, and Aiden - Fred found immeasurable joy and fulfillment. His unconditional love and unwavering support knew no bounds, as he eagerly cheered them on at every sporting event and celebrated their every achievement.
Fred's professional career spanned 39 years at Equipco in Bridgeville, PA, where he served as a dedicated Forklift Mechanic. His strong work ethic, technical expertise, and steadfast reliability were invaluable assets to his colleagues and the company alike.
In retirement, Fred embraced the simple pleasures of life, indulging in his passions for fishing, hunting, and outdoor adventures. Yet, his greatest joy came from spending cherished moments with his beloved family, creating enduring bonds and treasured memories that will be forever etched in their hearts.
Fred is survived by his loving wife, Annette; his devoted sister, Sandy (Jim) Ginosky; brother-in-law, Paul (Nancy) Yocco; sister-in-law, Marcie Yocco; and a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends whose lives were touched by his kindness and warmth.
Though Fred may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the countless lives he touched and the love he shared. May his memory be a blessing, and may we find solace in the knowledge that he rests in eternal peace, surrounded by the love of those who cherished him most.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 27, from 2-4 and 6-8, and Thursday, March 28, from 12-2, followed by a Blessing Service at 2:00 at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236. Burial will follow At Jefferson Memorial Park.
