Frank A. Taucher's Obituary
Just shy of being married 65 years to his wife,Teddy, Frank joined the Good Lord in Heaven on May 19, 2022, passing away peacefully in his sleep. His greatest pride was his wife and family. Teddy and Frank were blessed with five children, all of whom, like their father, were Penn State graduates. He was born and raised in Baldwin, PA and excelled as a three-year letterman on Penn State's varsity soccer team and a starter on the 1948 National Championship team. After serving his country in the Armed Services during the Korean War and earning his master's degree in education from the University of Pittsburgh, Frank served as a physical education teacher and coach for 40 years in the same community he was raised. More than a career, it was a vocation for Frank and his gifts were appreciated by many. Frank was a scratch golfer and an avid Penn State fan. He was patient, loving, humble, selfless and completely devoted to his family.
Frank is survived by his wife, Teddy; his sons Frank Jr. (Adrienne), Michael (Grace) and Thomas (Tara); his daughters Elizabeth Miller (Kurt) and Suzan Collins (Matt); his eleven grandchildren, Frank Andrew (Drew), Victoria, Michael David Jr., Katherine, Emily, Benjamin, Anna, Matthew, Madeleine, Thomas and Frankie; one great-grandchild, Leo and a few on the way.
