Frank L. Scharbo's Obituary
Frank L. Scharbo, a beloved father and grandfather passed away peacefully on August 10, 2023, in Pleasant Hills, PA. Born on January 2, 1925, in Rankin, PA, Frank was known for his thoughtful nature and selfless devotion to his family.
Frank was a proud Navy Veteran who served on the USS George E. Badger during World War II. His service to his country was a testament to his courage and dedication. After the war, he returned to Pittsburgh where he married his beloved wife, Dolores. Frank was a member of the bricklayers and musicians union. His hard work and talent were evident in everything he did, always putting his family first.
Frank is survived by his children, Charles (Kelly) Scharbo, Frank (Lauren) Scharbo, Christopher (Deb) Scharbo, Paul Scharbo, and Juliann (Ken) Lee. He was a cherished grandfather to Cory (Amber), Ashley (Joseph), Dana (Justin), Anna (Daniel), Rachel (Jamie), Charlie, David, and Caroline. He was also a great-grandfather to Madison, Justin and Samara. Frank is also survived by his sister, Adrienne (Ray) Duke.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 55 years, Dolores Scharbo, his loving parents, Charles and Anna (Cuccaro) Scharbo, and his siblings, Joseph and Marilou.
His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
Family and friends will be invited for visitation on Friday, August 18, 2023 from 4:00PM-8:00PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Inc., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pleasant Hills, PA 15236. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 10:00AM at St. Elizabeth of Hungary-Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish, 1 Grove Pl, Pittsburgh, PA 15236. If travelling in procession please meet at the funeral home no later than 9:00AM. Burial with military honors to follow at Jefferson Memorial Park.
