Frank R. Mracin's Obituary
Age 83, passed away suddenly, on Monday, November 12, 2018 of McKeesport, PA. Son of his late Parents, Thomas and Agnes Mracin. Brother of Mary Regina of Duquesne and Katherine "Kay" Schmidt of Norwalk, CA; was preceded in death by his sister Caroline Sabovik of Port Vue. Also survived by nephews David and Thomas Regina of Duquesne; Gregory Schmidt of Yorba Linda, CA; Niece Laraine Christensen of Huntington Beach, CA; Great-Nieces Traci an Shelley; Great-Great Nieces Jordyn and Ryann; Great-Nephews Matthew, Mark, Brent and Eric, all of CA; companion, Irene Stang; as well as many friends.
Frank was a graduate of Duquesne High School, was a Veteran of he U.S. Air Force, Graduated from Aircraft Maintenance Technician School; attended Penn State. Frank was employed at U.S Steels Irvin Works Plant in the tin finishing maintenance department and the business planning department as a service correspondent. Frank was a member of the White Oak American Legion Post 701; VFW of Clairton. After retirement, Frank worked for many years at Heinz Field; he was an avid fisherman, and bowler of several bowling leagues.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Inc., 301 Curry Hollow Rd, Pittsburgh.
