Frank Steven Mesick's Obituary
Frank S. "Frankie" Mesick, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2023. Born on September 19, 1944, to Frank and Anne (Hayson) Mesick, Frank was a man of many talents and interests, who left a lasting impact on everyone he met.
Frank is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie Mesick, his son Darrin (Sue) Mesick, his step-sons William (Barbara) Sweeney and Andrew (Jill) Sweeney, and his brother Michael "Mickey" Mesick. He was a proud grandfather to Kelli and Kristen Mesick, and Katie, Johnny, and Addison Sweeney. He was predeceased by his parents and his first wife, Marianne LaScola Mesick.
A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, Frank embarked on a successful career as an insurance agent. His dedication and hard work were recognized many times over, and he even spent some time in management. His professional accomplishments were a testament to his commitment and drive.
Frank was a man of diverse interests. He obtained his private pilot license and was a regular attendee at air shows. His love for travel took him to many places, one of the latest being a Caribbean cruise. Every summer, he looked forward to vacationing with his family, creating memories that will be cherished forever. He also loved taking trips to the casino.
Frank's life was characterized by his adventurous spirit, his love for his family, and his dedication to his work. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of his loved ones.
Friends and family will be welcome for visitation on Thursday, November 16, 2023 from 2 pm - 4 pm and 6 pm - 8 pm at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, 15236. A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 17 at 10 am in the funeral home's chapel.
