Age 88 of Jefferson Hills, passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2016. Born January 22, 1928 in Pittsburgh, he is a son of the late Frank and Johanna (Nancher) Flosnik Sr. He was a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish, and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Frank is a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Army (Air Corps).
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Michele Flosnik, a brother Tom Flosnik, and a cousin Joseph (Tim) Flosnik.
Frank is survived by his wife Susan (Sylvain) Flosnik, a daughter Denise (Tom) Staude, a grandson Ryan Staude and grandson Dylon Winfield. Sister in law Shirley Flosnik, nephews Tom and Michael Flosnik, great niece Ciara, great nephew Liam and cousins Patricia Gumbert and Dennis (Virginia) Flosnik.
Family and friends will gather for visitation on Thursday, February 25, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home - 301 Curry Hollow Rd. Pleasant Hills, PA. 15236 412-655-4501. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, February 26, 2016 at 10:00 am at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions in Franks name may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
