Nancy Barbara's Obituary
Nancy Barbara, 86, of Bethel Park, PA. passed away on February 6, 2025.
Born October 26, 1938, Nancy was a remarkable wife, mother and grandmother, who was eternally proud of her Polish heritage and hailed from a hardworking coal mining family. Her life was a testament to her passion for nurturing others, as she was a champion of the poor and less fortunate.
In her home, she was an awesome mom and a great cook, who took pride raising her 3 children and enjoyed taking her sons to their many Hockey games. Nancy enjoyed spending time with her daughter going to many craft shows, arts and cultural festivals and playing Bingo. She also loved helping raise her grandchildren and watching all of their various sporting events. Nancy and her beloved husband Peter shared a passion for travel, their road trips and train journeys across the United States enriching their lives with adventure and shared joy.
Nancy was a self-described "tomboy". In her younger years she enjoyed softball with the boys, and she was an excellent swimmer. She was an accomplished bowler, bowling in leagues. She loved ice skating with her children, enjoyed Bingo and going to the Casino. Nancy had a love for living things, plants and animals alike, her favorite animals being cardinals and pigs.
Nancy was a strong loving woman, deeply devoted to her family. She led by example and taught her children and grandchildren to respect others and live life honorably. She was an inspiration to all who knew her. We will all miss her witty sense of humor and excellent advice.
