Florence "Flo" Bakota's Obituary
Florence "Flo" C. Bakota, 93 of Pittsburgh, PA, passed away on December 28, 2025. Born on November 8, 1932 to the late Julius and Nellie Novak in the South Side of Pittsburgh.
Flo was known for her witty sense of humor; she always knew how to make someone smile. She loved her family and spending time with them, especially her grandchildren.
Flo is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, Theodore "Ted" Bakota; her daughters Cindy (Craig) Fickley and Angie (Jim) Deleonibus; grandchildren Laura (Dennis) Kane, Andrea (Paul) Munsch, Michael (Emily) Fickley and Maria (Garrett) Deleonibus; great-grandchildren Lydia Munsch and Baby Girl Fickley (due June 2026).
She is predeceased by her granddaughter Cassandra Deleonibus, parents and sisters Dorothy Pudlick and Ruth Buchner.
All services are private and have been entrusted to Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home.
