I am still in the realm of dreams about the reality that my dear TOPE has gone to be with the LORD. I ask, Lord, why the early home call of this young ‘general’? Suddenly I remember “For we know in part, . . . But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.” (1Cor. 13:9-10) TOPE, my ebullient young boy who had a humorous accent of the Yoruba language back then in 1985/1988. You were indeed a lovable boy! It is difficult for me, your uncle Tunde, to come to terms with the reality of your home call, at least for now. TOPE, your demise is tragic, sudden and ‘early in the day’. The grief of your loss is heavy for us to bear as family members. However, we are not in a position to challenge the Omnipotent God. “In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. (1Thes. 5:18). LORD we thank you for the brief buy fulfilled life that TOPE lived. TOPE, you are very much loved. Your departure from amongst us will be gravely missed. Verily, no more shall we part when we meet again at the feet of our Master, Jesus Christ. Good night TOPE.
