Eva Frances Long's Obituary
Eva Frances Long, 101, of Jefferson Hills, PA, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on June 27, 1925, she was the daughter of the late James and Sarah Molly Arthur Mayes and the devoted wife of the late Carol E. Long.
Eva spent her life as a devoted homemaker, nurturing her family and creating a loving home where memories were cherished. Her spirit was defined by her vibrant personality; she was known for her fiery opinions and her zest for life.
Eva found great joy in gambling, reveling in the thrill of the game. Rivers Casino will dearly miss her patronage. In her free time, she had a fondness for watching daytime game shows and the Westerns of her youth.
Eva is survived by her children, Cheryl Haberstock, Barbara Schoon, and William Long; grandchildren, Paul, Brian and Matthew Haberstock, Keith Schoon, Jody Jellison, and Scott and Jason Long; 11 great-grandchildren; as well as many extended family members and friends whom she loved dearly.
In addition to her husband and parents, Eva was preceded in death by her 12 siblings.
Friends and family are welcome for visitation on Saturday, August 1 from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Rd, Pittsburgh, PA, 15236. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM in the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Inurnment will be handled by Jefferson Memorial Park.
