Estella Humphries' Obituary
Estella Humphries, age 82, of Liberty Borough, passed away on July 11, 2026.
Estella was born and raised in Elizabeth, PA where she attended Elizabeth Forward High School in 1961. Her dedication to caring for others would lead her to attend and graduate nursing school in 1985. She went on to have a successful and fulfilling thirty-year career as a nurse.
She showed tremendous levels of support for her children. Often showing up to support them at sporting events and cheering them on. Family meant everything to Estella. In her free time, she liked to bowl and go fishing. Mostly she liked watching her favorite baseball team, the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Estella is survived by her four children, Dale Humphries Jr., Terri Humphries (Floyd Brooks III), Scott Humphries (Terri Schultz), Jason Humphries (Beverly); grandchildren, Amber, Rory, Shaun, Heather, Alex, Joey, Brandon, Dale, Mary and Edith; Great-grandchildren, Ma'siah, Ja'siah, Azriah, Alannah, and Peyton; niece Jane Freed (Bud), and her caregiver and friend Lindsey Bennettt and her dog Haley.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Dale Humphries Sr.; parents John and Irene Scheetz; father and mother in-law Alexander and Edith Humphries, and Roy and Richard Humphries.
Services for Estella are private and have been entrusted to Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home 301 Curry Hollow Rd. Pittsburgh PA 15236.
