Elsie Jenkins' Obituary
Elsie Jenkins, 95, of West Mifflin, PA, passed away surrounded by her loving family on July 6, 2022.
Wife of 62 years to the late John "Jack" Jenkins. Beloved mother of Tim (Jeanne) Jenkins, Ann (James) Marron, and Nancy Jenkins with whom she made her home. Grandmother of Lauren (Dan) Wehrung, Mike (Jenn) Marron, and Chris (Erin) Marron. Great-Grandmother of Jonathan, Johnny and Will.
Preceded in death by her loving parents, Nicholas and Clara Schnur, her siblings, Nick Schnur and Anna Marie Schnur, as well as her grandson, Patrick Marron.
Elsie attended the Gene Kelly School of Dance in Sq. Hill. and gave performances as a young woman in the local area. She spent her summers at the family cottage in Ligonier. During the WWII effort she picked apples in the orchards of New York. She loved to garden and won several awards in West Mifflin for her flowers. Elsie enjoyed skiing and golfing with her family. Above all she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Monday, July 11, 2022 at 2:00 - 4:00pm and 6:00 - 8:00pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road Pittsburgh, PA 15236. A Blessing Service will be held Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at 10:00am Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Park.
