Elmer and I had many years of performing together. He charmed all the folks with his smooth vocals. He drove me crazy making special arrangements, but he knew what he wanted and was so creative! Even though I am 26 years younger, he remembered how to get to all our gigs, and would direct me turn by turn! He also amazed me with knowing all the lyrics! He would get choked up singing, “Always”, thinking of Joan, even before she passed. I am so grateful for knowing Elmer and getting to spend such quality time together. He talked often of his family and I knew how much he loved all of you. He was a bright spot in this world!
