Ella F. Fisher's Obituary
Ella F. Fisher, age 96, of Castle Shannon passed away November 25, 2024. Born October 5, 1928 in the Brookline section of Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Ella (Price) Rent and graduated from South Hills High School.
Married to John Fisher Jr. for 70 years she was the beloved mother of Richard, Ellen (Marty Keegan), John, Anne, Charles (Vicky) and Joan, grandmother of seven, great grandmother of six and great, great grandmother of two; she is also survived by a dear family friend Beth Jaynes. She was preceded in death by her husband, John, her son, Richard and her three brothers Joseph, Lawrence and Edward Rent.
She was an inaugural member of St. Winifred Parish, Mt. Lebanon and an active member of their Women's Guild and St Winifred Food Pantry. She was also a long time member of the Three Rivers Quilters and the St. Winifred Quilters. She began a running career after she turned 60 and has many trophies from running in local 5K and 10K races.
Friends and family will be received on Friday, December 6th, 2024 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pleasant Hills, PA, 15236.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 7th, 2024 at 10am at St. Winifred Church, 550 Sleepy Hollow Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15228.
Burial will be handled by Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers she requested that donations be made to the St. Winifred Food Pantry, 400 Hoodridge Dr., Pgh. Pa. 15234.
