Elizabeth Ann Lux's Obituary
Elizabeth Ann Lux, age 72, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, surrounded by the love of family. She was born on May 25, 1953, the daughter of the late Anthony and Dorothy Rago.
Elizabeth was the beloved mother of Ezekial (Heather) Lux, Kyle (Janelle) Lux, and Meghan (Curtis) Davies and the loving grandmother of Evan, Elena, Corinne, Charlotte, Adrian, and Jeremiah. She also leaves her brother, Michael (Mary) Rago; sister, Patricia (John) Ferentz and half-sister, Dale Ann Williams.
Elizabeth grew up in Upper St. Clair where she attended local schools. A devoted and caring mother, she created a loving home environment where she raised her three children. Later in life she worked as a daycare provider, a position that came naturally to her.
In her free time, she enjoyed needlework and was an avid reader. She enjoyed shopping and going out to eat with friends and family. Above all else, Elizabeth's greatest joy in life came from the time she spent with her family. She was a wonderful grandmother whose love only grew greater with the addition of new generations.
Relatives and friends are invited to join with the family for a memorial visitation on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 10:30 - 11:30 am at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236. A memorial service will be held in the funeral homes chapel at 11:30 am. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
In keeping with her loving and selfless spirit, it was Elizabeth's final act of kindness to give life through organ donation. In honor of Elizabeth, memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Organ Recovery and Education at https://core.org/community/show-your-support/contributions/ .
