Elizabeth Kunkler's Obituary
Elizabeth Kunkler, age 90, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024. She was born on June 20, 1934 in Budapest, Hungary.
Elizabeth is survived by her children Charles (Janice) Kunkler, Debora Kunkler, and Katherine (Joseph) Horn; grandchildren Joshua Horn, Dana Rozeck, and Jaison Kunkler; great-grandchildren Jenna, Alyssa, and Briahna Rozeck; brother Josef Bayer.
Elizabeth is preceded in death by her husband Charles Kunkler and her parents Mathias and Maria Bayer.
After World War II, she relocated from Budapest, Hungary to West Germany. Elizabeth met the love of her life, Charles, while he was stationed in Germany serving in the US Army. They got married and moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where they lived out the rest of their lives.
Elizabeth enjoyed gardening, cooking, and taking care of her family. One of her favorite places to be was sitting on her front porch. She enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, a cup of coffee, a glass of wine, and chocolate. Most of all, she enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren.
Services private. Family under the care of Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home.
