Elizabeth "Betty" Jane Vansickle's Obituary
Elizabeth "Betty" Jane Vansickle, age 85, of Wilson and Forward Township, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on November 7, 2022.
Elizabeth is survived by her loving daughter, Karen Kay (Glen) McCormack, her cherished grandchildren, Shawn and Ashley (Martray) Ghrist, Emily Hall and Travis Basinger, Tyler Ghrist, and Aaron Hall. Great-grandmother of Brayden, Rylynn and Westin Ghrist, and Alaina, Daniel, Dylan and Gaven Hall. Sister of Patricia (the late Elmer) Mollenauer. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 41 years, Edward Raymond Vansickle, her parents John and Jean (Farber) Wallace, and her sister, Irene (Ray) Anselm.
Betty worked for 84 Lumber, Three Rivers Bank, and Wedding World. She was an active member of the Methodist Women at Pine Run Methodist Church in Wilson, the Clairton AARP #1612, and the Luncheon Group for the Clairton High School Graduating Class of 1955. Betty also loved to bowl and was a member of the Monday Morning Girl's Bowling League. Above all Betty loved spending time with her family, especially her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Friends and family will be welcomed for visitation on Friday, November 11, 2022 from 12:00PM-8:00PM and Saturday, November 12, 2022 from 11:00AM-2:00PM at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Inc., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pleasant Hill, PA 15236. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home chapel following final visitation at 2:00PM. Private burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Park.
