Elizabeth Regina "Betty" Shaffer, age 91, of Pleasant Hills, formerly of Cumberland, MD, went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 29, 2019. She is survived by her beloved children, Deborah Mitchell, Britton Craig (Phyllis) Shaf Read Obituary

How I will miss my dear sweet mother in law. She was always nice to me and made me feel welcome and loved. When conversing with her, she'd always ask about everything in my life letting me know how interested she was in me and mine. If there was a sour note, Betty could put a positive spin on it and take the sting away. I was always amazed at the true and lasting love that she and her husband Brit showed towards each other. We all wish for that level of love but only the very lucky have it. Our world is less with out her and heaven is richer to receive her. I'm comforted to know that now she is finally with Britt, her love and is young again and without any pain. I do imagine that he was waiting for her and asked her what took her so long!
