Edward "Eddie" Klein's Obituary
Edward "Eddie" Klein, 79, of Pittsburgh, passed away on September 6, 2025.
Eddie was raised in the Allentown neighborhood of Pittburgh by his loving parents Walter and Edna Klein. After finishing high school Eddie went to work as a delivery driver for the Pittsburgh Post Gazette, a position he held for over 40 years. He honorably served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
Neighbors and passersby knew him for the amount of care he showed to his lawn and garden, keeping it in immaculate shape. This was one of his favorite pastimes. He showed this same care to the people in his life and he will be remembered as an easy going, kind and decent person.
Eddie is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Dorothy Klein; sister Susie Becher (Charles); nieces and nephews Kimberly Kirchner (Shawn), Charlie (Jenifer Lee) Becher, Kaylee Becher and Cindi Hansher. Sisters in law Jo Ann Cwiklinski and Mary Siget (the late John) and their children John Jr, Christopher (Holly), and Ashley Savage (Eric). He is preceded in death by his parents Walter and Edna Klein; sister Dorothy Miller; and niece Jennifer Becher.
Friends and relatives are invited to join the family for a graveside service at 2:00 pm on Monday, September 15, 2025 at National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. Guests who wish to travel in procession to the cemetery may meet at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236 at 1:00 pm.
