Edward Horgan's Obituary
Edward Horgan, age 83, of Bethel Park, formerly of West Mifflin, raised in Rankin, peacefully embarked on his next adventure on August 13th, 2021.
Edward is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years Beverly Koch Horgan. Father of Ed (Carol) Horgan, Teri (Dave) Painter, John (Angela) Horgan, and James (Tina) Horgan, also survived by his grandchildren, Vincent Hoover, Kayla (Brian) Hutton, Ryan Horgan, Dillon Horgan, Joseph Horgan, Liam Horgan, Ethan Horgan, Kaitlyn Horgan, Duncan Horgan, Cory Horgan, and Tyler Horgan. As well as his great- grandchildren Savannah Hoover, Jaxon Hutton, Breanna Hoover, Journey Hutton, and Julianna Hutton. Brother of Patricia Martinchich and Diane Mariani, brother-in-law of LaRue Scalese, Gary (Marie) Koch, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Ed was preceded in death by his loving parents Edward Paul Horgan and Susan Mroziak Horgan.
Ed was employed at United Airlines for 37 years. He is the past President of Swissvale AOH, where he was an advocate for Irish Political Prisoners. Ed loved to paint images from his childhood and hometown scenes. He was a graduate of Rankin high school and was an outstanding running back. Above all he was the greatest husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to all in his life.
Visitation will be held on Monday August 16th, 2021 from 11am-2pm at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, 15236. A Blessing Service will be held at the funeral home chapel at 2pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The American Heart Association at www.heart.org.
