Edith L. Stoker's Obituary
Edith L. "Edie" "Toddie" Stoker, age 82, of Pittsburgh, passed away on October 22, 2025.
Married for 58 wonderful years to her husband Charles, Edith dedicated her life to her family and her passion for ceramics. She worked as an instructor and finisher at Allegheny Ceramics, sharing her artistic talents with others. Her love for the craft was only surpassed by her love for family, as she cherished the tradition of Sunday family dinners where everyone gathered around her table to share meals, games, laughter, and memories.
Edith also enjoyed a variety of hobbies that included baking, crafts, reading, and playing computer games. She was particularly fond of her dog Maya, who brought her great comfort and companionship.
Edith is survived by her son Charles (Roseanne) Stoker; her beloved granddaughters Kelly (Jared) Witucki and Tina (Kris) Proctor; great-grandchildren Adam Proctor, Kara Proctor, Joshua Proctor, and Laina Witucki; siblings Mike (Teresa) Hurley and Marianne (the late Dan) Hurley; also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband Charles Stoker, parents Eugene and Edith Hurley, birth father Paul Dew and his wife Carmilla, and siblings James Dew, Paul "Butchie" Dew, Virginia "Jen" Bigelow, Patrick Hurley, and Dan Hurley.
Memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 from 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, 15236. A Memorial Service will immediately follow visitation at 6:00 pm in the funeral home's chapel.
