Dorothy D. Wilmot's Obituary
Dorothy D. Wilmot, (Dottie), age 96, of Pittsburgh, entered into eternal rest on March 13th, 2020. Dorothy was the wife of the late Stanley E. Wilmot. He was the love of her life and they will spend their 76th anniversary together in Heaven.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, John Benjamin and Mary Caroline (Nevergall) Davis, daughter Betty Jo Wilmot; sisters, Beatrice, Jane and Marie; brothers, John, Charlie and George.
She is survived by three children, Barbara W. (George) Guillaume, Patricia (Tom) Grden and Stan Alan (Janet) Wilmot; six grandchildren Carolyn, Brian, Tricia, Debra, Barbara and Jeremy; fourteen great grandchildren, Tyler, Jessi, Melissa, Amanda, Anthony, Noah, Anni, Stephen, Marshall, Dawson, Madison, Natalie, Nathan and Joseph; three great great grandchildren, Sierra, Dylan and Triston; and one brother, Robert Davis, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Dorothy was a devoted wife and mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, giving of herself in many ways. A resident of Brentwood for over 70 years, she volunteered with the school district and Brentwood Presbyterian Church. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, crocheting, baking, cooking, reading and caring for her husband, children, grandchildren and pets. She loved watching the wildlife in her backyard, especially the cardinals. Once she became an empty-nester, she worked for Kelly Girl and Health America. In her retirement years, along with her husband Stan, she was a dealer for Talent Network, an entertainment booking agency. Dorothy had a tender heart and spirit, and was loved by all who knew her.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date by JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, 15236. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dorothy's name may be made to the Asbury Heights Benevolent Care Program, 700 Bower Hill Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15243.
