Dorothy Evelyn Mastorakis' Obituary
D. Evelyn Wright Mastorakis went home to be with her savior on April 18th Good Friday, 2025. Evelyn was the daughter of the late Frank W. Thull and Laura E. Ayers Wright. Evelyn was born in Rochester, Pa on August 18, 1932. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather Clyde M. Wright, brother Stanly Thull, and husband Paul Mastorakis.
Evelyn graduated from Beaver Falls High School class of 1950-Providence Hospital School of Nursing-Pittsburgh and Detroit University. She was a missionary nurse in the Appalachian area and served three years as a missionary nursing worker and instructor in Egypt. Evelyn also served as United States Air Force Captain and flight nurse during the Vietnam War.
Evie, as she was known to her friends, she loved the Lord Jesus and with her husband Paul taught Sunday School Class, bible study, and volunteered their time to many Christian endeavors. After her husband Paul's passing, Evelyn moved to the Residence at Bethel Park where she resided until her passing.
Evelyn is survived by her brothers Robert (Cindy) Wright of East Palestine Ohio, David W. (Alene) Wright of Beaver Falls Pa. Three nephews David R. (Val Bruno) Wright, Donald (Teresa) Wright, Gary (Erin) Wrigh, and one niece Becky Thull.
Evelyn's family thanks Paul and Diane Deffehbaugh for their extraordinary help and all the other members of the Providence Presbyterian Church PTA of McKees Rocks for showing Gods love in a time of need.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 29 2025 from 10 am to 12 pm at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, 15236. Followed by a Funeral Service at 12 pm in the Funeral Home's chapel.
