Doris Jean Koch's Obituary
Doris Jean Koch, age 92, passed away on January 7, 2026. Born on February 7, 1933, in Braddock, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Henry and Henriette Koch.
Doris began her professional journey at the young age of 16, working in the mailroom at Westinghouse-a company where she would dedicate her career before retiring from the same organization. Following her retirement, she continued to serve her community at the local Post Office.
A passionate advocate for animal welfare and environmental preservation, Doris was an activist throughout her life. She cared deeply for the world around her and fought tirelessly for the causes that mattered most to her. In addition to her advocacy, Doris had a profound love for family, which she cherished deeply. Her spirit of adventure led her to travel extensively, and her enthusiasm for learning ensured she was always eager to explore new ideas and experiences.
Doris leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews as well as great-nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and her siblings, Richard Koch, Joseph Koch, Charles Koch, Anita Zortich and Cynthia Medved.
Doris will be laid to rest at Jefferson Memorial Park. Funeral services will be private.
