Donna M. Walker Cook's Obituary
Donna M. Walker Cook, 61, went home to Our Lord on Wednesday evening, April 22, 2020, surrounded by her loving family.
Donna was born on September 19, 1958, in Morgantown, West Virginia, the only daughter of the late Donald and Rose Marie Fraze Walker.
Donna graduated from Morgantown High School, and then attended West Virginia University where she was in the Alpha Xi Delta Sorority. After earning a Masters Degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from WVU, she worked for the Taylor County Schools in Grafton, WV and then for 35 years at the Easter Seals Western PA Speech Department in Pittsburgh.
Donna was an active member of her community in Bethel Park, and was passionate about education. She was on the Bethel Park School Board for 16 years, serving as Board President for 11 years.
In her free time, Donna enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family and friends; boating on Cheat Lake, relaxing on Bethany Beach, and spoiling her granddaughter, whom she adored. She was happiest when taking care of her family.
Donna is survived by her husband of 36 years, Tim Cook; her two sons, Tyler (Brittany) and Colin Cook; and her granddaughter, Alice Rose Cook.
Due to the current social distancing guidelines, a private funeral will be held. A Celebration of Donna’s Life will be held at a later date.
The family requests any memorial donations to be made in Donna's name to the Bethel Park Public Library.
