Donna M. Cowan (Egger)'s Obituary
Donna M. Cowan, 63, of Pittsburgh, peacefully embarked on her next adventure on September 30, 2017.
Donna is survived by her beloved mother, Norma Egger; siblings, Norma (James) Underwood, Margaret Mary (Jay) Kubiak, John (Janet) Egger, Eileen Egger, George (Renee) Egger, Marilyn (the late Robert) Freund, and Christine (Ken) Schmidt; as well as many nieces, nephews, friends, and her beloved security dachshunds, Slinky and Prince of Bon Air. She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert A. Cowan; brother, Billy Egger; and father, George Egger.
Donna lived a simple life surrounded by friends and family who loved and appreciated her sense of humor, her style, and her no nonsense attitude. She shared a special bond with her sister Eileen that inspired many, and was a loyal, loving, and extremely generous aunt. She will be missed greatly, but her memory will carry on with every dance party, every pair of impractical high heels, and every episode of Days of Our Lives.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, October 5, from 2-8 PM at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, 15236. A Blessing Service will be held on October 6, at 11:30 AM in the funeral home chapel.
