Donald L. Watson
March 27, 1947 - December 30, 2021
Of West Mifflin, formerly of Charleroi. He was preceeded in death by his parents, Lloyd G. Watson and Virgie (Johnson) Watson and granddaughter Abbey Victoria Ralston. Survived by wife of 50 years, Mary Louise (Schich) Watson, son David L. Watson of West Mifflin, daughter Kelly S. (Richard) Ralston of Bethel Park, granddaughter, Maura Jane Ralston, sister Linda (Orin) Simmerman of Paris, Kentucky and nephews Andrew and Aaron Simmerman.
Don was employed by the West Mifflin Area School District for 33 years as a science teacher. He loved being the "Voice" of the Titan Thunder Marching Band and spotter for Titan football team. He also coached for West Mifflin Baseball League and Girl's Softball Assoc. He enjoyed watching all Pittsburgh sports and never gave up on the Pirates. He loved listening and dancing to the Oldies, the outdoors, feeding his birds and spending long weekends at the family's trailers at Moraine Campground in Slippery Rock. His greatest joy was spending time with granddaughter Maura.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Still Remembered Project, PO Box 13, Bethel Park, PA 15102. This is an organization that offers support to parents on the loss of unborn, newborns and infants. Donations can also be made to the Washington County Humane Society, 1527 Pennsylvania Route 136, Eighty Four PA, 15330.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 3, 2022, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm & Tuesday, January 4, 2022, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, 15236. A Chapel Service will be held after visitation on Tuesday at 4:00 pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Condolences may be shared at www.jeffersonmemorial.com.
