Donald Wajda's Obituary
Donald Wajda, 84, of Pittsburgh, PA, passed away on July 15, 2026. He was born on August 13, 1941, to the late Nicholas and Mary Wajda.
Donald was a proud Veteran of the United States Army, having reached the rank of Specialist. Professionally, he was a hard worker, dedicating 33 years as a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service and another 12 years as a bus driver for the Baldwin-Whitehall school district.
In his personal time, Donald enjoyed many interests. Growing up in the South Side, he was very athletic and known by many as "Termite". He continued throughout his life as a Pittsburgh sports fan, mostly focusing his attention on the Pirates and PITT. Donald also enjoyed travel, especially cruises, and was a big lover of cars and animals.
Above all, Donald loved his family and making friends. Anywhere he went, he could always be found starting up a conversation. Donald enjoyed spending time with his late wife of 37 years, Linda, their children and grandsons. Later in life, he was fortunate to gain more family from his late wife Irene, who he enjoyed 10 years with, living in Fort Meyers, FL with their rescue dog.
Donald is survived by his children Sherrye (Craig) Tomino and Nicholas Wajda; his grandsons Eric and Kyle Tomino; Irene's children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wives Linda Wajda and Irene Kesling-Wajda.
Friends and family will be received from 2-8pm on Sunday, July 19, 2026 at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pleasant Hills, PA, 15236.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10am on Monday, July 20, 2026 in the funeral home chapel.
Burial will be handled by Jefferson Memorial Park.
