Donald was the beloved husband of the late Georgiann Gettings and the loving father of Charles (Monica) Gettings, Laurie (Daniel Sterlitz) Dilla, and Jamie Gettings Duke. The joy of being a grandfather was a role that he cherished, and he was blessed with six grandchildren, Cara Gettings, Chad Gettings, Rebecca (Bill) Gettings, James Thomas, Jackson Duke, and Nicholas Duke. His love and guidance extended to his great-grandchildren, Akira Thomas, Lucas McLaughlin, and Daisey Georgiann McLaughlin along with his extended family.
Donald's life was a testament to the power of love, faith, and service. Those who knew him were blessed by his wisdom. He was a beacon of light in a world that can often be dark.
