Dolores "Dolly" Wank's Obituary
Dolores “Dolly” Wank, age 80, of Castle Shannon, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 9, 2024, in the comfort of her home while surrounded by her loving family. Dolly was born on June 30, 1944, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of the late George and Mamie (Finnel) Kimmel.
Dolly made her home and raised her family alongside her beloved husband of 63 years, Regis A. Wank. Dolly worked for the Keystone Oaks School District in Castle Shannon for 35 years as a school guard, a position that brought her great joy. Above all, the time spent with her family were the moments she cherished the most. She was a caring and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be deeply missed by all those who loved her.
In addition to her beloved husband, Regis, Dolly is survived by her loving children, Regis Wank, Jeffrey Wank, and Heather Tuszynski (Lance McCoy); her grandchildren, Chantel, Regis, and Breanna, and great grandchildren, Andrew, Matthew, Giovanni, and Camilla, all whom she adored.
Dolly was preceded in death by her siblings, Ronald, George, and Patrick Kimmel, Shirley Grendel, Sally Zadinski, and Rose Kimmel.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for visitation from 2:00 -4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, September 13, 2024, at Saint Paul of the Cross Parish, St. Anne Church, 400 Hoodridge Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15234. Please meet at the church. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
