Dolores J. Drischler's Obituary
Dolores J. Drischler, age 95, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, June 26, 2026. She was the beloved wife of 67 years to the late Norman J. Drischler.
Loving Mother of Nancy (Pat) Pace, Joyce (Ed) Hess, Thomas Drischler, Bruce (Linda) Drischler, and Chris (Sue Ann) Drischler; cherished Grandmother of Nicholas (Sara) DiPietro, Danny (Stephanie) Pace, Melanie (Mike) Papp, Ed (Jen), Jr. and Rick Hess, Sara (Agustin) Cabrera, Emily (Colby) Truax, Andrew Drischler, Jennifer (Tony) Drischler-Cornetta, Melissa (Daniel) and Margo (Mike) Drischler, Brianna (Jake) Drischler-Collas, and Jon and Adam Drischler; loving great-grandmother of Enzo, Penny Lane, Ozzie Fitzgerald, Carter, Adriana Jean and Angelo Malloy and she was anxiously awaiting the arrival of a new great-grandchild. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, William and Jean Wiesenfeld-D'Alesandro, Richard Lizewski, and John (Mary Ann survives) Lynch.
She was the devoted matriarch of her family and her love for them was the cornerstone of her life. Throughout her years, Dolores cherished the moments spent with her children, her love only flourishing with the addition of each new generation.
Dolores was a dedicated homemaker, known for her warm hospitality-especially during the holidays, where she created special memories through her wonderful cooking, particularly her Polish dishes. She shared a deep bond with her late husband, Norman, and together they enjoyed life's adventures, traveling in his retirement and tending to their cherished garden.
A longtime parishioner of St. Gabriel Church, she lived by the motto, "Always count your blessings," a sentiment that will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for visitation on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, from 3:00 - 7:00 pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236. A blessing service in honor of Dolores will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at 12:30 pm in the chapel at the funeral home. Burial will be held privately.
