Dolores Agnes "Dolly" (Durica) Stupar's Obituary
Age 81, of Whitaker, PA, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2016, at her son Frank's home under his care, and is now in the comfort of the Lord our God. She was born July 13, 1935 in Whitaker, PA. She was the daughter of the late Andrew John and Susan Ann Durica. A member of the Irwin Assembly of God. She graduated from Munhall High School in 1953, then married in 1954 to the late Frank L. Stupar, Sr. for 30 years. Together they have five children; Susan (Doug), Rebecca (John), Stephen (Cheryl), Frank Jr., and Marybeth (John). She was known as MiMi to her 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, who will be there to carry on all her valued memories. SHe was preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Spisak and brother, Albert Durica. Dolly worked early on at the West Mifflin high school cafeteria, then went on to work at McDonalds in 1982. After that she worked at Bevomatic and then the Merk Co. Most recently she worked for Sunny Days home health care. She had an overwhelming love for her family and friends, especially with her sister-in-law, Jean who was always there with kindness, love and support. Dolly enjoyed gardening, swimming and most of all walking her beloved dogs, Molly and Maggie. She also volunteered at the Munhall Fire Dept. and was a community activist. A celebration of Dolly's life will be held at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pleasant Hills on Tuesday, November 1, 2016. Family and friends may visit from 1 pm until the service at 1:30 pm. A private burial will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the following charities of your choice: The Humane Society, 1101 Western Avenue, Pittsburgh PA 15233, The Cancer Awareness Center, or the Alzheimer's Awareness.
