Diane (Sayre) Leake's Obituary
Diane (Sayre) Leake, age 67, of South Fayette, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2026. Born on March 8, 1959, she was the daughter of the late John W. and Ruth (Dixon) Sayre. Diane is the mother of Kristen (Michael) Wood; Grammy of Maisy and Mason Wood; and beloved life partner of Ron Becker. She also leaves her sister, Lynette Richardson; her brother, William Sayre; niece Jenna Sayre, nephews Justin and Jason Sayre, and many more cherished family and friends.
Following Diane's graduation from Bethel Park High School in 1977, she attended Bradford Business School. She later enjoyed, and retired from, a 40+ year career at BNY Mellon, where she held various roles, most recently as Client Reporting Manager.
Family was at the center of Diane's life. Her daughter, Kristen, was her pride and joy, and the bond they shared was a constant source of love and support throughout her life. Becoming Grammy to Maisy and Mason was one of Diane's greatest blessings. She cherished every moment spent with them, whether it was a weekend at the park, a holiday gathering, or cooking Grammy's favorite family recipes at home. Diane also enjoyed spending time with her beloved life partner, Ron, with whom she shared some of life's happiest moments.
The kitchen was where Diane truly shined. Through every recipe she shared and every meal she prepared, her warmth, generosity, and love were felt by all who gathered around her table. The highest compliment one could give Diane was to express enjoyment from her delicious culinary creations. Cooking was one of the many ways she showed her love for family and friends, creating delicious meals that will surely be remembered for years to come!
Diane had a vibrant social life. Her calendar was always full, a testament to both her fun-loving personality and the many friends who she loved spending time with. Whether a beach or cruise vacation, annual ski trips, motorcycle rides, or attending shows and concerts, Diane approached life with a sense of adventure and lived every moment to the fullest!
Guided by a strong faith, Diane was a devoted member of The Table Church, where she faithfully attended services, church groups, and volunteered her time. Diane will be remembered for her kindness, generous heart, and the love she shared so freely with her family, friends, and everyone fortunate enough to know her.
A Celebration of Life in honor of Diane will be planned in the coming weeks for close family and friends, with a private burial service held thereafter.
In honor of Diane's giving spirit, memorial contributions may be made to the donor's local animal shelter (her love for dogs) or to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, 383 Main Avenue, 7th Floor Norwalk, CT 06851.
