Dean Michael Rump's Obituary
Dean Michael "Dino" Rump, age 63, of West Mifflin, formerly of Baldwin Township, suddenly passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2022.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Shari Rump; children Sara Hale and Nick Callahan; grandchildren Jordan, Henry and Alea; brothers Vincent and Mark; furbabies the late Bitsy and Bailey, and Tootsie; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents Richard and Lois Rump.
Dean was a 1976 graduate of Baldwin High School. After high school, he worked as an iron worker and welder from 1976 until 1982. He then attended the PA Institute of Culinary Arts where he became a pastry chef and has been ever since. Dino was a big Nascar fan, his favorite driver being Dale Earnhardt Sr. He was also a fan of dirt racing and drove the #38. He also followed many late model drivers, especially Scott Bloomquist #0. In addition to racing, Dean was a life long Steelers fan. He was a loyal man who was funny and steadfast in his beliefs. He loved his church family, God and racing. Most of all, he loved his family and friends.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, 15236. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 17 at 10 am in the funeral home's chapel.
