David John Maegle's Obituary
David John Maegle, passed away on January 29, 2026, at the age of 71.
Born on September 16, 1954, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, David was the son of John and Mary Maegle.
David was a graduate of Carrick High School. Following his high school graduation, he proudly served in the United States Army, where he was a dedicated member of the Fife and Drum Corps at Fort Myer.
After returning from his service, David began his career as a generator technician with Cummins, where he became very skilled over the years and eventually retired. David found his greatest joy in the company of his loved ones, especially attending his children's and grandchildren's sporting events.
David is survived by his wife of 50 years, Rosanne Maegle; his children, Michelle (Jason) Hoke; Steven (Melissa) Maegle and Amy (Gerald) Pysk; grandchildren, Hannah Hoke, Benjamin Hoke, Sydney Maegle and Cecelia Maegle; his brother-in-law, Joseph Neckerman and Michael (Barbara) Neckerman; sister-in-law, Susan Lepley; as well many nieces, nephews and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents as well as his sisters, Marianne and Charlotte Maegle.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday, February 1st from 1-3 & 5-7 P.M. and Monday, February 2nd from 9-11 A.M. at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 2nd at 11 A.M. following visitation at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.
