David George Glumac, Sr.'s Obituary
David George Glumac, Sr., age 59, of North Versailles, PA, suddenly on Saturday, July 3, 2021.
David is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Debra Matheson Glumac; adoring father and absolute best friend to both of his sons, David and Alexander; brother of Georgianna (Charles) Wilson; and Joyce (Brad) Lambert and Tammy Glumac, both of Florida; son of the late George and Hilda Glumac. David is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
David was employed as a carpenter for UPMC for many years, cut short by a cancer diagnosis, which he fought valiantly. David was also very proud of his work in managing several rental properties.
Family was the most important thing to Dave, immediate and extended. One of the joys of his life was following his boys' sports activities while students at Serra Catholic High School and more recently at the University of Pittsburgh Johnstown. He mentored many of his boys' friends, especially instilling in them his belief in a strong work ethic. He will be deeply and sadly missed by his family and scores of people who called him "FRIEND."
Family and friends are welcomed on Friday, July 9, 2021 From 2 to 4 pm & 7 to 9 pm at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pleasant Hills. A Blessing Service will be held in the Funeral Home's Chapel on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at 10 am. Interment at Deer Creek Cemetery, Cheswick.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation for the continuing education of his sons, Alex and David. Donations can be made directly to the family.
