Danielle Wickerham's Obituary
Danielle Marie (Falcione) Wickerham, age 42, of West Mifflin, PA, formerly of Baldwin, on the morning of June 21, 2024 passed in the loving embrace of her husband, Buddy. In her final days she was surrounded by those who loved her most, and she left this world with grace and beauty. She was born on September 13, 1981 in Pittsburgh, daughter of Cheryl (Humbert) and David J. Falcione, Sr.
Danielle is part owner of Firewhistle Brewing in Elizabeth, PA. She began her career as a server/bartender at numerous breweries, bars, and clubs all around the Pittsburgh area. As Danielle was most comfortable on stage – singing, dancing and acting; she was an asset wherever she worked. She was instrumental in the development and promotion of Craft Brewing in the Pittsburgh Area.
Danielle had an immense passion for life. Her optimism and zest for life inspired others to embrace each day with joy and purpose. She loved everything natural: nature, animals, and people. Her love and compassion of people transcends anything that could be put into words.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Howard “Buddy” Wickerham; her beloved parents, Dave and Cheryl Falcione; her devoted best friend and brother, David J. Falcione, Jr. and his wife René, who was more of a sister than a sister-in-law; and her treasured nephew, Nico; many extended family members of the Humbert, Falcione, and Wickerham families; as well as her lifelong and “lifeline” best friend, Jen Messina, and a multitude of friends who are more numerous than the stars in the skies.
Friends will be received at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pleasant Hills, PA on Monday, June 24, 2024 from 1-4 PM and 6-9 PM.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Chimera Brewing (formerly Mindful Brewing), 3759 Library Road, Pittsburgh PA 15234, on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at 1:00 PM.
A special thank you to everyone from UPMC who cared for Danielle and her family over the last week. The family witnessed the pure love and compassion of Danielle’s friends, whom she considered her family, with special gratitude to Erin Jay and Jason Berman for their tireless efforts and availability 24 hours a day, to assist in Danielle’s care.
In lieu of flowers and in honor of Danielle’s memory, we ask that everyone perform an act of kindness – donate to a homeless or animal shelter; give to a food pantry; spend time with your family and friends; volunteer for a worthy cause; and so that others never need to experience such unfathomable grief, please consider the importance of preventative care, regular screenings, and most importantly, schedule for a mammogram.
