Daniel Raymond Kuntz's Obituary
Daniel Raymond Kuntz, known by friends and family as the life of the party, passed away on June 22, 2023, just one day after celebrating his 45th birthday. Born in Pittsburgh, PA on June 21, 1978, Daniel spent his entire life making people laugh and spreading joy wherever he went. He was the beloved son of Raymond and Kathleen (Baker) Kuntz, the brother of Alisa, Brian, and Jeffrey, and a loving uncle to his nieces and nephews.
Daniel dedicated over 10 years of his life to AWP (Area Wide Protective) as a Flagger. When he wasn't working, Daniel could be found swimming or skiing, depending on the season. He also loved trips to the beach; his license plate even said "MNT-SEA", so you would know he was heading for either. Daniel's love for amusement parks was no secret, and he spent many happy days at Kennywood Amusement Park with his best friend Mike. The two of them traveled to amusement parks far and wide, always on the hunt for the biggest, fastest, and most thrilling rides. They could always be found at the front of the line with their memberships and fast passes or eating hot dogs. At parties, if you were looking for Danny you could find him in the hot tub or in the food line.
An avid explorer, Daniel loved driving around and discovering new places. He was particularly fascinated by highways and would often be found walking along newly opened roads, marveling at the engineering and construction. Daniel had a soft spot for cats and animals of all kinds, and he was known to befriend every furry creature he encountered. His love for animals was matched only by his love for making others laugh, and he was always ready with a joke or a funny story to brighten someone's day. Daniel's humor was a gift that he shared generously, and his laughter will be remembered by all who knew him.
In a world that can sometimes feel heavy and serious, Daniel's funny, spirited, and loving nature was a breath of fresh air. He was a beacon of light, and his memory will live on in the hearts of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Friends and family will be received for visitation on Thursday, June, 29th from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pleasant Hills, PA, 15236.
As we say goodbye to Daniel Raymond Kuntz, let us remember the joy he brought to our lives and the laughter he left behind. May we honor his memory by embracing his love for adventure, his passion for amusement parks and his love for others. And most importantly, let us always remember to laugh, for that is the legacy Daniel would want us to carry on.
