Daniel Geti
Age 86, of the Lincoln Place section of Pittsburgh, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2016, surrounded by the love of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia Mary (Wood) Geti and his infant grandson, Michael Shane Anderson. He is survived by his son, Daniel Geti of Pittsburgh and his daughter Michele "Mickey" and her husband Frank Anderson of League City, TX. He is the proud grandfather and great grandfather of Jonathon and Jenifer Anderson and their son Edward, Ashley and Randall Nettles and their daughter Kaylee, and Matthew and Bethel Anderson and their son Logan, all of League City, TX. He is also survived by his former wife, Erma Arlene Bostian, of Conroe, TX. Dan was a 22 year career Marine serving from Korea to Vietnam. He earned the Purple Heart and various Honorable Service Medals. After retirement from the military, Dan was employed by Langenfelder and Sons and oversaw the construction of many of the roadways in the North Hills. Afterwards, he worked for U.S. Steel as a weigh-man at Homestead Works, also Clairton and Saxonburg Mills. He was a member of the VFW Post 5321 in Lincoln Place, the Hays Moose, and former Elks Lodge #11. Dan was a much loved and respected member of the Lincoln Place Community. He was a gentle soul with animals and loved music and history. Visitation will be held Friday 2-4 & 6-9 pm at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pleasant Hills, where a Funeral Service will be held Saturday at 1 pm in the funeral home chapel.
