Daniel John Altavilla's Obituary
Daniel John Altavilla, age 77, of Baldwin, formerly of Mt. Washington, passed away on October 29, 2020.
Daniel is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Roberta (Klein) Altavilla; four sons, eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, Daniel and Colleen Altavilla and their children, Ashley and Jon Lizik and their children, Nixon Lizik and Nash Lizik; Danny and Katherine Altavilla, Douglas and Kelly Altavilla and their children, Douglas Altavilla, Nicholas Altavilla, Morgan Altavilla; Dennis and Sarah Altavilla and their children, Dennis Altavilla, Olivia Altavilla, Sophia Altavilla; Dean and Julie Altavilla and their children, Emma Altavilla, Luke Altavilla and Jack Altavilla; brothers, Frank (Kim) Altavilla, Leonard (Patty) Altavilla; sister, Donna Filipelli; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mary (Kuchta) Altavilla and his brother-in-law, Willy Filipelli.
Daniel was a carpenter for over 50 years for the Carpenters Local #142.
Together, he and Roberta raised four boys. Daniel always coached their various sports teams while Roberta cheered them all on. He was a collector of all things. A trip to the Goodwill was something that he always looked forward to.
Daniel's greatest accomplishment was his children and grandchildren. He will be missed dearly by all who loved him.
Friends will be received on Monday, November 2, 2020, 2:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M. & 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, 15236.
A Blessing Service will be held Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at 10 A.M. in the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.
