Daniel John Aloisio, age 35, of Jefferson Hills, passed away on Friday, January 26, 2018. After many years of battling substance abuse, he is finally at peace. Loving father of Jonathan Daniel Aloisio; cherished son of Jack and Karen Aloisio; brother of Kaitlin (Curt) Wootton; grandson of Jean Wiesenfeld D'Alessandro and the late William Wiesenfeld, Casey D'Alessandro, Jack "Pop-Pop" Aloisio, and Pat "Nana" Aloisio. He will be missed by his aunts, uncles, many cousins, and friends. As a young man, working along side his father and grandfather, Dan aspired to follow in his father's footsteps in the grocery business. Although legally blind, Dan was able to enjoy hunting, fishing, ATV's and vacationing with his family. Dan had a great sense of humor, and growing up, would do anything to make his friends and family laugh. After many attempts at rehabilitation, he succumbed to his addiction. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 31, from 1-4 & 5-8 PM at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, 15236. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 1, 10 AM at St. Thomas a Becket Church, Jefferson Hills. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Western PA Teen Challenge Addiction Treatment Center or the Western PA School for the Blind.
