Dale E. Strom's Obituary
Dale E. Strom, age 70, of Pittsburgh, passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2025, surrounded by the love of family. Dale was born on October 13, 1954, the son of the late Gustaf and Margaret (Tkac) Strom.
Dale grew up in McKeesport where he attended local schools. He was a devoted machinist, proudly employed at US Steel for over 20 years. His strong work ethic and commitment to excellence were evident in everything he undertook. Outside of his professional life, Dale was a passionate ballroom dancer, traveling to compete and dedicating countless hours to perfecting his craft.
A kind-hearted soul, Dale was also an enthusiastic financial planner, approaching this hobby with the same dedication he employed in his career. He found joy in reading non-fiction and educational books, constantly seeking knowledge of a variety of subjects. With his fascination with World War II he could often be found watching a war movie. He also enjoyed engaging in spirited debates about the topics he felt passionate about.
Dale is survived by his son, Ryan E. Strom; his brothers, Donald (Jacelyn) and Robert (Marcey) Strom; nieces and nephews, Shawn (Denise), David, Chelsea (Ryan), Weston, Dustin, and Dylan; and many cousins and extended family members.
In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded in death by his brothers, Kenneth and Richard; his aunt Loreda Mosher; and his uncle, William Tangren.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family from 2:00 - 4:00 pm and 6:00 - 8:00 pm for visitation on Friday, July 11, 2025. A service will be held at 11:00 am in honor of Dale on Saturday, July 12, 2025, in the chapel at the funeral home. Burial will be held privately.
