Connie Lynn Vrable's Obituary
Connie Lynn Vrable, age 67, of South Park, formerly of Erie, passed away surrounded by her loving family on April 8, 2021.
Connie is survived by her beloved husband of 43 years, Patrick Vrable; children, Brandon M. (Laura) Vrable, Kimberly M. (Jason Roberts) and Jason D. (Jill) Vrable; siblings, David (Pennee) McLallen, Judy (Frank) Ward, Nancy (Thomas) Madara, Ronald (Cammy) McLallen;mother-in-law, Betty Vrable; sister-in-law, Sharon (Terri) Vrable; brother-in-law, Dr. Richard (Mary Ellen) Vrable; grandchildren, Beckett, Lincoln, Noah, Colton, Taylor, Talan, Tanner, Bode, Gino, Drake and Brooklyn; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Betty McLallen.
Connie graduated from Erie McDowell High School before obtaining Bachelor's degrees in speech therapy and elementary education and later received Master's degree in speech therapy from the California University of Pennsylvania. She worked as a speech therapist at UPMC Centers for Rehab where she was well known for her services. She often had patients traveling hours to see her. Connie was a leader in her field and one of the first in the area to use Vital STEM to get patients to learn to eat and talk. Following her retirement, she continued to help patients who could not afford treatment.
Traveling was something Connie always looked forward to, especially cruises. She sailed on over 50 cruises with her favorite destination being anywhere in the Caribbean.
Although Connie loved to see new sights, her favorite was her family. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved watching and playing with her grandchildren.
Connie never wanted the spotlight but touched millions. She will be missed deeply by all.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 11th from 1-4 P.M. & 6-8 P.M. at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, 15236.
In compliance with Pennsylvania guidelines, only 25 people are permitted in the visitation room at any given time. Please be prepared to wait outside. Face coverings are required for all in attendance
A private service will be held.
Connie's family would like to thank Dr. Buchbarker, Dr. Stephanie and their staff of AGH as well as Dr. Johnson of Johns Hopkins Hospital and the Amedisys Hospice staff.
