Clelia Josephine Pacella's Obituary
CLELIA JOSEPHINE PACELLA, beautiful mother and love of our lives, left us December 8, 2020 to be with her Lord and Savior. Born March 18, 1930 in Carrick to devoted Italian immigrant parents Michael and Matilda (Napolitano) Passero, she was the third born of four daughters. Her sisters were her life: Philomena “Phyllis” ( the late Sam) Monaco, the late Carmela (Sunday) Corella, and Esther Passero. She was predeceased by her adoring husband Michael and precious daughter Lisa. She is survived by her children Rosemary (Mark) Barber of Baldwin Township, Joseph Pacella of New Eagle, and Terri (Patrick) Flaherty of McCandless. Beloved Nonni to Leah, Sean, Jessica, Michael, and Tony as well as great grandchildren Noah and Elijah. She also leaves many loving nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Her sister-in-law Nancy (the late John) Pacella was her most cherished friend and sister in Christ. She graduated from Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing in 1951 and worked as an RN until she met her husband and started a family which she admitted was all she ever really wanted. Besides her faith, she was renowned for her red sauce and meatballs that we’ll always remember simmering in the pot on the stove after Sunday Mass at St. Germaine’s Church. In lieu of flowers, if desired, donations may be made to her favorite charity Missionaries of Charity, 335 East 145th Street, Bronx, NY 10451. Services are private. Arrangements are handled by Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home 301 Curry Hollow Rd Pittsburgh PA 15236.
