Clayton J. "Bud" Strang's Obituary
Clayton J. "Bud" Strang, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2025, at the age of 80. Born on September 10, 1944, in Tallahassee, Florida, Clayton dedicated his life to caring for others as a registered nurse, a vocation that showcased his compassion and dedication to the well-being of those around him.
Residing in South Park, Pennsylvania, Clayton built a warm and loving home alongside his devoted wife of 50 years, Gloria Strang. Bud is survived by his cherished children, Kaysie and James Strang, and his grandchildren, Bradie, Aron, and Dalton Strang. He is also lovingly remembered by his sisters, Suzette (John) Urban, Nanette (Rick) McLaughlin, Babette Saunders, and Yvette Michael, and several nieces and nephews, who will carry forward his spirit and legacy.
He was preceded in death by his parents Clyde and Ernestine Strang; bother Fred Strang
Bud loved all his animals from owning and riding horses to raising chickens, goats, ducks and geese and caring for his beloved dogs and cats.
Bud was a proud member of the United States Navy serving his country as a corpsman. He received his nursing degree from Westmoreland County Community College. Bud worked as a RN in the emergency room of the Homestead and Jefferson Hospitals.
The family invites friends and loved ones to join them for a memorial visitation on Wednesday April 23, 2025 from 1 pm to 5 pm followed by a funeral service and military honors at Jefferson Memorial Funeral 301 Curry Hollow Rd Pittsburgh PA 15236.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to a Hearts and Paws Pet Ministry 44 Highland Road, Bethel Park 15102, a cause that was close to Clayton's heart.
As we remember Clayton J. Strang, we take comfort in the cherished memories and the love he shared with us all. May his legacy of compassion and care continue to inspire those whose lives he touched.
